We specialise in the storage of prestige, classic, supercar, performance, and collector vehicles.  We also store motorcycles and race/rally cars.  Whether modern or historic, each vehicle is treated as a high-value asset and cared for accordingly.

Is Pistonvault storage climate controlled?

Yes. All vehicles stored with Pistonvault benefit from a controlled environment designed to protect paintwork, interiors, seals, electronics, and mechanical components from moisture, corrosion and temperature fluctuation.

How secure are Pistonvault’s storage facilities?

​

Security and discretion are fundamental to Pistonvault. Our facilities operate with controlled access, intelligently monitored security systems, and discreet handling - meeting the expectations of high-value vehicle owners and insurers alike.

Will my vehicle be maintained while in storage?

​

Yes. Pistonvault offers ongoing vehicle care while in storage, which can include battery conditioning, tyre management, fluid checks, and mechanical rotation to ensure your vehicle remains in optimal condition and ready to drive.  We work to understand client needs and provide a range of tailored options depending upon requirements.

Can I access my vehicle while it is stored?

​

Yes. Vehicle access is available by prior arrangement. For added convenience, collection and delivery can also be organised through Pistonvault Specialist transport, allowing you to enjoy your vehicle without logistical hassle.  We do all the legwork so clients can simply enjoy their cars at their designated location or event.

Does Pistonvault offer vehicle collection and delivery?

​

Yes. We provide professional vehicle collection and delivery services across the UK, with covered transport options available where appropriate to protect your vehicle during transit.

If I store my vehicle at Pistonvault will you collect from my home?

​

Yes. We provide a discounted collection service for new storage clients.  We collect vehicles from around the UK (and Europe) and employ a liaison officer to manage ongoing movement requirements.

Do you offer international vehicle transport?

​

Yes. Pistonvault offers international vehicle transport, logistics management, handling and coordination to ensure vehicles are transported securely and professionally to overseas destinations.  We work with affiliates in the Middle East and USA for international projects.

Where in the UK do you operate?

​

Our primary storage facility is discretely located just off the M1 near the village of Long Buckby.  This is highly convenient for clients due to proximity with mainline train stations, Silverstone and links across the Midlands and Northamptonshire.  We have a transport hub based out of Solihull but serve clients across the West Midlands, Warwickshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and other parts of UK.

Is my vehicle insured whilst stored with Pistonvault?

​

Our storage facilities are designed to meet the requirements expected for high-value vehicle storage.  Our facilities are insured, however, Clients are advised to maintain their own insurance policies - particularly for high value or rare machines; we are happy to liaise with insurers where necessary.

Can Pistonvault prepare my vehicle for long-term storage?

​

Absolutely. We can prepare vehicles for short-term, seasonal, or long-term storage, ensuring they are correctly conditioned, protected, and maintained for extended periods.  We published a 'Best Practice' guide based on years of experience in high performance vehicle management.  We offer this experience and service which is quoted according to the vehicle and client aspirations.

How long can I store my vehicle with Pistonvault?

​

Storage is completely flexible. Vehicles can be stored short-term, seasonally, or long-term, depending on your requirements. We tailor each arrangement to suit the vehicle and the owner.

What is minimum charge for storing my vehicle with Pistonvault?

​

Our Minimum storage charge is 1 Month and your vehicle will have its own designated space for that period of time. Clients are invoiced at they point of contract (then on a rolling monthly basis thereafter).  Clients generally arrange a direct debit which is perfectly fine.  Invoicing may be managed by Pistonvault or Huxley Automotive associates.

How do I formalise vehicle storage with Pistonvault?

​

We have a simple storage agreement document which we request clients review and sign ahead of storage commencement.

Does Pistonvault offer concierge services?

​

Yes. Pistonvault provides concierge support to simplify ownership, including detailing coordination, servicing arrangements, MOT management, and preparation for events, transport or sale.

Can Pistonvault assist with the sale of my vehicle?

​

Yes. Through our Specialist Sales service, we assist owners with the discreet (off-market) sale of prestige and collector vehicles - maintaining anonymity and reducing friction for clients.  We provide support with presentation, logistics and buyer engagement where required.  Our sister company is very knowledgeable concerning prestige/supercars, they build and sell bespoke vehicles and highly experienced with high end transactions.

Is Pistonvault suitable for investment or collector vehicles?

​

Very much so. Professional storage and documented care play a vital role in protecting the condition, originality, and value of investment-grade vehicles, and Pistonvault is trusted by collectors and investors alike.  We maintain a record of your vehicle monitor its condition with discretion and advice where required.  We photographically document your car and limit access to essential staff and procedures only.

Are your concierge services managed by Pistonvault?

​

Yes, we take full ownership responsibility of any client request and ensure processes are carried out with utmost care.  We carry out most specialist services on our secure 'well equipped' site.  Where third parties are involved, we only work with trusted partners who have the same duty of care as ourselves.

Are your transport and project management services available without being a storage client?

​

Yes, all of our services are offered independently from each other.  Our transport and storage divisions work independently or together where required.  Clients who are constrained by space or time may request that Pistonvault collects, processes and delivers a vehicle on their behalf.  This might apply to vehicle graphics, PPF or bespoke accessory fitment for example.
